How to Make Homemade Strawberry Jam
Here’s everything that you’ll need to know in order to make your own yummy strawberry jam with only 3 ingredients:
- Combine the ingredients. Add the hulled and sliced fresh strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice to a heavy-bottomed pot.
- Stir. Stir the mixture over low heat until the sugar has dissolved.
- Mash. Use a potato masher to mash the strawberries.
- Boil. Increase the heat to medium high, and bring to a boil, while continuing to stir constantly. Allow the jam to boil for 10 minutes, or until the jam has thickened to your liking.
- Seal. Ladle the jam into sterilized jars and seal immediately.
- Store. Store the jam until ready to use.

How to Store Homemade Strawberry Jam
The best way to store homemade strawberry jam like this that hasn’t been canned is in the refrigerator or freezer. Either place in jars and refrigerate, or place it in a freezer ziplock bag and pop in in the freezer.

How Long Does Homemade Jam Last?
Due to the fact that the strawberries are cooked with sugar and lemon juice to reduce the moisture content in your jam, you can reasonably expect this homemade jam recipe to keep for 1 month in the fridge, and 12 months in the freezer.
