Ingredients
1cupsugar
1cupwater
2cupsfresh strawberrieschopped
Instructions
Add the strawberries to a saucepan and mash well with a potato masher.
Add the sugar and water and stir to combine.
Bring to a boil then reduce the heat.
Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
Remove from the heat.
Pour the syrup into a bottle.
Store refrigerated for up to 3 weeks.
Notes
This recipe makes 2 cups of homemade strawberry syrup. Keep in a tightly sealed mason jar for 3-4 weeks.
