Bring to a boil over medium heat. In a small bowl, add the cornstarch and water and stir to combine. Add the cornstarch mixture to the pot and stir to combine.
In a bowl of stand mixer fitted with a dough hook combine the flour, salt, yeast and sugar. Add the milk mixture, water and egg. Beat on low speed for 8 minutes.
The dough should form into a nice ball and be slightly sticky. Lightly grease a large bowl with oil. Transfer the dough into the bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and leave to rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Bake in preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until golden. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. To make the glaze, add all the ingredient to a small bowl and stir to combine.
