How to Make Tuna Macaroni Salad

  1. Boil Water and Cook the Macaroni. Boil macaroni until al dente, drain, rinse under cold water, and set aside.

  2. Whisk Together the Dressing. Whisk mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, Dijon, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.

  3. Mix It All Up. Combine pasta with dressing, tuna, peas, celery, onion, and parsley. Fold gently, chill 1 hour, then garnish with extra parsley to serve.

Ingredients 

  • 1 pound uncooked elbow macaroni
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 7 oz drained canned tuna
  • 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 2 celery ribs, diced
  • ½ cup chopped red onion
  • ¼ cup finely chopped fresh parsley, plus more for serving
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions 

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add macaroni, and cook until al dente.
  • Drain and rinse under cold water to cool, then set aside.
  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until creamy and smooth.
  • Add the cooked macaroni to a large bowl along with the dressing, tuna, peas, celery, red onion, and parsley.
  • Gently fold everything together until well combined and the pasta is evenly coated.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Chill the salad for at least 1 hour before serving for the best flavor.
  • Sprinkle with extra parsley before serving for a fresh finish.
