  1. Add all the ingredients to a large heavy bottom pot or saucepan. 
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat. 
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 1 hour 15 minutes or until the mixture thickens. 
  4. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. 
  5. Transfer to a jar. 
  6. Allow to cool completely. 
  7. Refrigerate until ready to use.
