  1. Place the raspberries in a large stainless steel pot. 
  2. Mash the raspberries with a potato masher. 
  3. Bring to a boil over high heat. 
  4. Cook for 4 minutes, stirring frequently. 
  5. Stir in the sugar. 
  6. Bring back to a boil, stirring constantly.
  7. Cook for another 4 minutes. 
  8. Ladler into sterilized jars and seal immediately. 
  9. Store in a cool dark place and refrigerate once opened.
