How to Make No-Bake Peppermint Pie

  1. Make the Oreo Crust. Crush Oreos, mix with melted butter, and press into a 9-inch pie dish. Chill.

  2. Make the Filling. Beat cream cheese until smooth, then add powdered sugar, vanilla, peppermint flavoring, and food coloring. Fold in crushed peppermint candy and whipped cream.

  3. Chill and Decorate. Spread filling into the crust, chill at least 4 hours until set, then top with whipped cream and crushed peppermint before serving.

Make-Ahead and Freezing Instructions

To Make-Ahead: Prepare the pie completely (without the whipped cream topping) and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before serving. Add the toppings just before serving for the best texture.

To Freeze: Freeze the pie (without toppings) tightly wrapped for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator, then add whipped cream and crushed peppermint before serving.

Ingredients 

For the oreo crust:

  • 22 Oreo cookies
  • 5 tbsp butter, melted

For the pie filling:

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 16 oz full fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp peppermint flavoring
  • 10 drops red food color
  • ½ cup crushed peppermint candy
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

For decoration:

  • 1 cup whipped heavy cream
  • crushed peppermint candy

Instructions 

  • Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.
  • Mix the crumbs with melted butter.
  • Press the mixture into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie dish.
  • Chill the crust while preparing the filling.
  • Beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, peppermint flavoring, and food coloring.
  • Mix until creamy and evenly colored.
  • Fold in the crushed peppermint candy.
  • Whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the filling.
  • Spoon the filling into the chilled crust.
  • Smooth the top evenly.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.
  • Decorate with whipped cream and crushed peppermint candy before serving.
