Pear Jam

Craving a good homemade jam? This refrigerator pear jam recipe is fast, fridge-friendly, and ridiculously good on everything.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 35 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes
Servings: 1 medium (16oz) jar

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pears, cored and chopped
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • In a medium pot, combine the chopped pears, sugar, and lemon juice.
  • Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves—about 5 minutes.
  • Once it starts to bubble, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 25–30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens.
  • You’ll know it’s ready when you drag a spoon through the jam and it leaves a clear path on the bottom of the pot for a moment.
  • For a smoother jam, use an immersion blender or potato masher to puree the mixture. If you prefer a chunkier jam, skip this step.
  • Let the jam cool slightly, then transfer it to a clean glass jar with a lid.

Notes

Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
