How to Make Peanut Butter Oatmeal Balls 

  1. Make the dough. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

  2. Roll. Roll the dough into 1-tablespoon balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Refrigerate. Chill for at least one hour. Store in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve.

Make-Ahead and Freezing Instructions

To Make-Ahead: Oatmeal balls can be stored in the refrigerator for about seven days. To prevent them from sticking together, place food-grade paper (wax or parchment) on the bottom of a resealable container. Space out one layer of oatmeal balls. Add another layer of paper and oatmeal balls until the container is full.

To Freeze: Freeze the balls spread out on a baking sheet. Once frozen, scoop them into a freezer-safe bag, remove as much air as possible (use a straw), and freeze for up to three months.

Ingredients 

  • 1 ¼ cups rolled oats
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate chips
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

Instructions 

  • Add all the ingredients to a bowl and mix to combine.
  • Roll the dough into balls about 1 tablespoon in size.
  • Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Refrigerate for minimum one hour.
  • Keep the balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
