  1. Heat it. Microwave flour in 20-second intervals until the internal temperature reaches 160ºF, then stir in cinnamon and let cool.
  2. Mix the wet ingredients. Beat butter, brown sugar, peanut butter, and granulated sugar until creamy. Add vanilla extract and milk, then beat to combine.
  3. Finish the dough. Add the cooled flour mixture to the wet ingredients and beat to combine. Fold in chocolate chips.

Make-Ahead and Freezing Instructions

To Make-Ahead: Edible cookie dough can be made ahead and kept in the refrigerator for up to seven days. Just make sure it’s properly wrapped or closed up to prevent drying out. 

To Freeze: Alternatively, freeze the cookie dough for up to six months. Just roll it into a long, wrap it tightly to prevent freezer burn and freeze. You can also cut the log into slices for easy bite-sized portions later.

Ingredients 

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup dark brown sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • tbsp milk
  • ½ cup mini semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions 

  • Add the all-purpose flour to a microwave-safe bowl
  • Microwave on high in 20-second increments until the internal temperature is 160°F, stirring in between every 20 seconds.
  • Stir in the cinnamon and set aside.
  • Allow to cool completely.
  • In a bowl, beat the butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until creamy.
  • Add the vanilla extract and milk mix to combine.
  • Add the flour mixture and beat to combine.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
