I can’t resist a good homemade dressing, and this lemon basil vinaigrette is no exception. I use it on everything from salads to roasted veggies and baked chips.

What We Love About This Lemon Basil Vinaigrette

  • Simple ingredients: Unlike many store-bought dressings, this lemon basil vinaigrette is made with regular ingredients you would normally find at home like olive oil, honey, garlic, and fresh basil.
  • A multi-purpose dressing: You can use it as a marinade for meats or vegetables, as a dip for chips, or even as a dressing for salads or sandwiches.
  • Made in minutes: If you ever find yourself in need of a quick salad dressing, you can’t go wrong with this recipe.

Lemon Basil Vinaigrette Ingredients

  • Fresh Basil – When making vinaigrette, fresh basil is preferred since it requires no heat to help extract the flavor out of the leaves.
  • Lemon Juice, Honey, Salt, and Pepper – Lemon juice, honey, salt, and pepper add depth and flavor to the vinaigrette.
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil – Extra virgin olive oil serves as the base for the lemon basil vinaigrette. Use high quality olive oil.
