Why Is My Lavender Lemon Gin Spritz Cocktail Foamy?

If you’ve ever made a cocktail at home, you may have noticed that it sometimes becomes foamy.

If you shake or stir your cocktail too vigorously, you’ll introduce too much air into the mixture, which is what creates the foam. Additionally, if your ingredients contain ingredients like milk, cream, or egg whites, these will also cause your cocktail to foam.

If it bothers you, you can simply skim off the top and remove the foam with a spoon. You can also leave it as is and just embrace the foamy top.

Can I Use Flavored Gin for This Lavender Lemon Gin Spritz Cocktail?

Definitely! Some brands do flavored gin, although you may have to do some trial and error to ensure that you’re getting the flavors just right. Also, some types of plain gin already have faint notes of lavender in it, so adding the dried lavender can gently bring out the gin’s natural flavors.

Of course, if you want a stronger flavor, you can use whatever type of gin you want, flavored or otherwise.
