How to Grill Corn on the Cob

  1. Prep the Corn on the Cob. Brush corn all over with avocado oil.

  2. Grill the Corn. Preheat grill to medium-high. Place corn on grates and cook 10–12 minutes, turning every 2–3 minutes until tender and lightly charred.

  3. Enjoy. Transfer to a plate and serve hot with butter, salt, and pepper.

Make-Ahead, Storage and Freezing Instructions

To Make-Ahead: Shuck and oil the corn on the cob up to 1 day in advance. Keep covered in the refrigerator until ready to grill.

To Store: Store leftover grilled corn in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat on the grill, in the oven, or in the microwave.

To Freeze: Cut kernels off the cob after grilling, spread on a baking sheet to freeze, then transfer to a freezer bag. Freeze for up to 3 months.

Cook Time: 12 minutes
Total Time: 17 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients 

  • 4 ears of corn
  • 3 tbsp avocado oil

For serving:

  • butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions 

  • Brush each ear of corn evenly with avocado oil on all sides.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Place the corn directly on the grill grates.
  • Grill the corn for about 10–12 minutes, turning every 2–3 minutes, until the kernels are tender and charred in spots.
  • Remove from the grill and transfer to a serving plate.
Serve immediately with butter, salt, and freshly cracked pepper to taste.
