If you’re looking for another sweet and sour grape dessert, you’ll also want to try these sour frozen grapes and grape tanghulu (trust me, if you haven’t had it yet, you’re seriously missing out).

How to Make Galaxy Candy Grapes

  1. Prep the Grapes. Stick toothpicks or small skewers into clean, dry grapes and set them aside.

  2. Make the Candy Coating. In a saucepan, heat sugar, water, and corn syrup over medium-high heat (without stirring) until it reaches 300°F. Remove from heat, stir in white gel food coloring, then add a few drops of pink and blue gel colors. Gently swirl with a toothpick to create a marbled effect.

  3. Dip and Cool. Dip each grape into the marbled syrup, let the excess drip off, and place on parchment paper. Let them cool and harden for about 10–15 minutes before serving. Store in an airtight container with parchment between layers.

Storage and Freezing Instructions

To Store: Place the coated grapes in an airtight container, layering with parchment paper to prevent sticking. Store at room temperature in a cool, dry place for up to 2 days.

To Freeze: Freezing is not recommended because the candy coating may become sticky or lose its crisp texture when thawed.
