How to Make Dried Blueberries

  1. Prep the Blueberries. Wash blueberries and dry well. Spread in a single layer on dehydrator trays or a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  2. Dry the Blueberries (In a Food Dehydrator): Set to 135°F and dry 18–30 hours until shriveled and slightly chewy.
  3. Dry the Blueberries (In an Oven): Bake at 170°F for 6–10 hours, stirring every 1–2 hours.
  4. Cool and Store. Let the blueberries cool completely, then store in an airtight container.

Storage and Freezing Instructions

To Store: Store cooled dried blueberries in an airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to 1 month.

How to Make Dried Blueberries in a Dehydrator:

  • Spread the blueberries in a single layer on dehydrator trays lined with mesh or parchment paper.
  • Set the dehydrator to 135°F (57°C).
  • Dry for 18–30 hours, depending on berry size and juiciness. Check occasionally. They should be shriveled, dry to the touch, and slightly chewy—not sticky.
  • Let the berries cool completely before storing.

How to Make Dried Blueberries in the Oven:

  • Preheat oven to 170°F.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the berries in a single layer.
  • Bake for 6 to 10 hours, stirring every 1–2 hours to dry evenly.
  • Berries should be shriveled and mostly dry, but still slightly chewy.
  • Let them cool completely before storing.
