How to Make Crockpot Applesauce

  1. Prepare: Slice the apples and add all the ingredients to a crockpot. Stir to combine. Cover with a lid.

  2. Cook: Cook on high for four hours. Remove the lid and mash the apples until smooth.

  3. Refrigerate: Use the applesauce immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.

Storing and Freezing Instructions

To Store: Let the applesauce cool in the crockpot. Scoop the cooled sauce into a jar and seal it. Refrigerate the jar and use your applesauce within a week.

To Freeze: Allow the applesauce to cool completely. Spoon it into ice cube trays and place the tray on a level surface in the freezer. Once solidly frozen. pop the cubes out of the trays and store them in freezer bags labeled with the date.

  • 3 pounds apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup water

Instructions 

  • Add all the ingredients to a crockpot.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Cover with a lid.
  • Cook on high for 4 hours.
  • Remove the lid and mash the apples until smooth.
  • Use immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.
  • To freeze, allow the applesauce to cool completely.
  • Spoon the applesauce into ice cube trays.
  • Freeze until solid.
  • Pop the cubes out of the trays and transfer them to freezer bags labeled with the date and the contents.
