If you’re the type to spend an arm and a leg on sports recovery drinks, then you’re going to love this recipe. For post-workout, this coconut hibiscus electrolyte water drink is excellent for replenishing lost fluids and electrolytes.

It’s also perfect for whenever you’re craving a nice and refreshing cold drink, not to mention it takes no time at all to make! Simply combine two cups of water with ½ cup of dried hibiscus flowers and refrigerate overnight.

Strain the liquid into a pitcher afterwards and then mix in four cups of coconut water along with a few lime slices to finish it all off.

Coconut Hibiscus Electrolyte Water for Post-Workout Recovery

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 6

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups water
  • ½ dried hibiscus flowers
  • 4 cups coconut water
  • 1 lime, sliced

Instructions 

  • Add the water and dried hibiscus to a large jug.  
  • Stir to combine and refrigerate overnight. 
  • Strain the liquid into a pitcher. 
  • Add the coconut water and lime slices and stir. 
  • Serve with ice.
