How to Make Caramel Apple Bark

  1. Prep the Chocolate Bark Base. Toss chopped apples with lemon juice. Melt milk chocolate with coconut oil until smooth, then spread it onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  2. Add Toppings. Scatter apples over the chocolate, sprinkle crushed pretzels, and press gently. Drizzle with melted caramel and extra melted chocolate.

  3. Chill & Serve. Refrigerate 30–40 minutes until set, then break into pieces and enjoy.

Make-Ahead and Freezing Instructions

To Make-Ahead: Assemble the bark completely and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before serving.

To Store: Keep the bark in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Because of the fresh apples, it needs to stay chilled.

To Freeze: Freezing isn’t recommended for this recipe—the apples will release moisture and become mushy once thawed.

Caramel Apple Bark

This caramel apple chocolate bark is the perfect combination of creamy chocolate, tart apples and crunchy pretzels (and it's really easy to make!).

Ingredients 

  • 2 green apples or other tart apples, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cups pretzels, crushed
  • 12 oz milk chocolate
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

For decoration:

  • ½ cup caramel, melted
  • ¼ cup milk chocolate, melted

Instructions 

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, toss the chopped apples with lemon juice to keep them from browning.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, add the milk chocolate and coconut oil.
  • Heat in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely melted and smooth.
  • Pour the melted milk chocolate over the parchment paper and spread it into an even layer.
  • Scatter the chopped apples evenly on top, then sprinkle with the crushed pretzels, gently pressing them into the chocolate.
  • Drizzle the melted caramel all over, followed by the melted milk chocolate.
  • Refrigerate for 30–40 minutes, or until set.
  • Break into pieces before serving.
