Tips for Cooking Pork Chops

Pork chops are an incredible protein to work with, but they can be tricky to get exactly right. If you’re new to cooking pork chops, be sure to check out these tips:

  • Choose the right cut of pork chops. When choosing pork chops, look for ones that are well-marbled with fat. This will ensure that they are juicy and flavorful. Also, avoid pork chops that are too lean, as they will be tough and dry.
  • Season the pork chops thoroughly. Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and any other desired spices. Be generous with your seasonings.
  • Sear the pork chops before baking, especially for thicker cuts. Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add a bit of oil. Once the pan is hot, add the pork chops and sear them for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown.
  • Let the pork chops rest after cooking. Once the pork chops are cooked through, remove them from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. This will allow the juices to be reabsorbed by the pork chops.

How to Freeze Blackberry Pork Chops

If you plan to consume these Blackberry Pork Chops within a day or two, store the chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator. However, if you want to keep them for longer, freezing is a better option.

Before freezing, wrap the pork chops in airtight packaging to prevent freezer burn. Remember to label the package with the date of freezing to keep track of its shelf life.

Store the individually wrapped Blackberry Pork Chops in a freezer-safe container. When stored this way, your Blackberry Pork Chops can last for 2 to 3 months.
