Notes

Why Is My Blackberry Fool Runny?
If your blackberry fool is turning out to be runny, there are a few reasons why this might be happening. Ensure that the whipped cream you’re using is properly chilled before combining it with the fruit puree.
Any residual warmth can cause the mixture to become too liquid. Additionally, be careful not to overmix the cream and puree, as this can also cause the fool to become thin and runny.
Why Is My Blackberry Fool Sour?
Consider the ripeness of your blackberries – if they’re overly ripe, they might release more liquid and cause the final dish to be runny and slightly sour. Make sure to use perfectly ripe blackberries and to drain any excess liquid before mixing it in with the other ingredients.
Why Is My Blackberry Fool Flat?
Simply beat the whipped cream until it forms stiff peaks. This can be hard to do with manual whisking, so be sure to use an electronic mixer instead.
When adding the blackberry puree, gently fold it in. Don’t overmix, as this could make the fool turn flat and lose its airy quality.
