Make Ahead and Freezing Instructions

To Make Ahead: Applesauce oatmeal can be made as overnight oats. All you have to do is mix half a cup each of oats, milk, and applesauce in a mason jar, add half a teaspoon of cinnamon or apple pie spice, and a pinch of salt before sealing the jar. Shake it vigorously and refrigerate overnight for a tasty, quick breakfast.

To Freeze: Applesauce oatmeal is also perfect for freezing for an excellent breakfast meal prep. Just divide the oatmeal into portions and freeze. To reheat, microwave the frozen oatmeal in a bowl for one to two minutes or until warmed through. Add the toppings of your choice only after the oatmeal is reheated, and enjoy.
