To Make Ahead: Applesauce jello is a perfect make-and-forget treat. You can mix it, put it in the refrigerator, and come back two days later to the perfect treat. Just keep in mind that your dessert will stay fresh for up to a week max, so plan to eat it before then. 

To Freeze: Jello is amazing when frozen. It turns into a solid yet chewy treat that you can enjoy straight out of the freezer. Just scoop the jello into popsicle molds and freeze for up to three months for the perfect summer day treat.

Ingredients 

  • 1 ½ cups boiling water
  • 6 oz Jell-O Gelatin, Flavor of Choice
  • 2 cups unsweetened applesauce, chilled

Instructions 

  • Spray an 8×8 inch baking pan with cooking spray.
  • Set aside.
  • Combine the Jell-O with boiling water and stir until the jello is dissolved.
  • Add the applesauce and stir to combine.
  • Pour in the prepared pan.
  • Refrigerate for 3 hours or until firm.
