- Make the sugar mixture: Add the granulated sugar, cinnamon powder, and brown sugar to a bowl and stir to combine. Add the butter to the dry sugar mixture, and using a fork, blend the mixture until coarse crumbs form.

- Shape the dumplings: Separate the crescent dough into eight triangles. Spread one tablespoon of applesauce on each triangle. Sprinkle with one tablespoon sugar mixture. Roll up the triangles from the wide end.

- Bake: Place the crescents in the prepared baking dish. Pour apple juice over them. Bake the applesauce dumplings in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until they turn golden. Remove from the oven and let stand for ten minutes before serving.
Storing and Freezing Instructions
To Store: Dumplings can be refrigerated for four to five days. Make sure to keep them in an airtight container to keep out any fridge smells and prevent moisture loss.
To Freeze: Dumplings are best frozen before cooking them. Just roll them up with the filling inside and put them in a freezer bag or container. Freeze for up to three months. To cook them, you can defrost them on the counter for an hour or cook them from frozen. Make sure to adjust the cooking time if you’re cooking from frozen.
