How to Make Air Fryer Apple Crumble

  1. Prep the Apples. Mix diced apple with 1 tbsp brown sugar, ¼ tsp cinnamon, and 1 tsp melted butter in a small baking dish.

  2. Make the Crumble. Stir flour, remaining brown sugar, remaining cinnamon, and melted butter together until crumbly. Sprinkle over the apples.

  3. Air Fry & Serve. Air fry at 400°F for 15 minutes until golden and bubbly. Serve warm with ice cream and caramel if you’d like.

Make-Ahead and Freezing Instructions

To Make-Ahead: Assemble the apples and crumble topping in the dish, cover, and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Air fry when ready to serve.

To Freeze: Freeze unbaked apple crumble (assembled but not air-fried) tightly wrapped for up to 2 months. Air fry straight from frozen, adding a few extra minutes as needed.

This air fryer apple crumble can be made in less than 20 minutes, and is so incredibly tasty (especially when topped with ice cream!).

Ingredients 

  • 1 apple, diced
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 6 tsp butter, divided
  • ½ tsp cinnamon, divided
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar, divided

Instructions 

  • Place diced apple in a small baking dish.
  • Add 1 tbsp brown sugar and ¼ tsp cinnamon.
  • Mix well.
  • Add 1 tsp melted butter and mix again.
  • In a bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, remaining cinnamon, and remaining melted butter.
  • Mix until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle crumbs over the apples.
  • Place the dish in the air fryer.
  • Cook at 400°F for 15 minutes.
  • Serve warm with ice cream and caramel sauce.
