Make-Ahead and Freezing Instructions

To Make-Ahead: Mix the batter in the mug, cover, and refrigerate for up to 12 hours. Microwave just before serving.

To Store: Mug cakes are best fresh, but you can refrigerate a cooked mug cake for up to 1 day. Reheat briefly in the microwave.

To Freeze: Freezing isn’t recommended for this recipe, as the texture becomes dense and rubbery once thawed.
